Chicken Tacos
Ingredients
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Small corn or flour tortillas
Toppings: chopped cilantro, diced onions, sliced avocado, lime wedges, salsa, and any of your favorite taco toppings
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts and coat them with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the Chicken: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then slice it into thin strips.
Assemble the Tacos: Warm the tortillas on a skillet or directly over a flame. Fill each tortilla with sliced chicken and your favorite toppings.
Serve: Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
Steak Tacos
Ingredients
1 lb. skirt or flank steak
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lime juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
Small corn or flour tortillas
Toppings: chopped cilantro, diced onions, sliced avocado, lime wedges, salsa, and any of your favorite taco toppings
Instructions
Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Add the steak and coat it with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cook the Steak: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Let the steak rest for a few minutes, then slice it thinly against the grain.
Assemble the Tacos: Warm the tortillas on a skillet or directly over a flame. Fill each tortilla with sliced steak and your favorite toppings.
Serve: Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
